The Tatton Park Triathlon Event

Currently (08/09/2010) Simon's accumulator stands at £1055. Well done Simon that is truely fantastic to break the thousand !!!!

Simon Rabone is a friend of my Daddy who has offered to do a Triathlon Race and raise money through sponsorship.

The race is a 1500m open water swim in Tatton Mere, followed by a 40km road cycle, then finally a 10km run in the grounds of Tatton Park, near Knutsford, Cheshire. I am sure any support people can give on the day will be gratefully received.

Simon says he has never done a proper triathlon before, but may do what is called a sprint (which is half distance) as part of his training.

I cannot believe that anybody can swim, cycle and then run these sorts of distances. I can only dream of this sort of thing ! Please sponsor this brave man as I think his legs may have disappeared by the finish but I will lend him my wheelchair if needed.
